They treat intelligence as a radioactive hazard to be regulated into the hands of a few defense contractors and corporate monopolists.

This is cowardice. We do not need panic; we need statesmanship, education, and moral backbone. While politicians posture about Hollywood scripts, the real disaster is already taking place: millions of citizens are being left functionally illiterate in the primary medium of the twenty-first century. If prime ministers, education ministers, and business leaders care about democracy, human dignity, and equality of opportunity, they must act decisively on three fronts.

The Three Educational and Policy Imperatives

1. Universal Cognitive Education in Public Schools

We must stop forcing our youth to memorize outdated syntax and regurgitate facts that machines process in milliseconds. Public curricula must pivot to cognitive prompting, epistemological inquiry, systems architecture, logic, and ethical philosophy. We must teach young people how to interrogate the unknown, formulate high-order constraints, debate models iteratively, and govern intelligence with moral discipline.

3. Restoring the Sovereign Human Spirit of Authorship

We must break the cultural spell that reduces citizens to passive consumers of algorithmic feeds. We must teach every person that they are sovereign authors. The machine is here to hold the operational tools and bear computational weight, but the vision, the heart, the conscience, and the courage to build a dignified world belong exclusively to the living human being.

The Age of Machine Intelligence is here. It is not a machine story; it is a human story. It will either become an engine of unprecedented division where a tiny corporate aristocracy commands the future, or it will become the golden dawn of human flourishing where every person has the power to solve the problems around them. The outcome does not belong to the algorithm. It belongs to us, to our courage to educate, and to our refusal to leave our fellow human beings behind in the no-man's land.

The eagle does not ask the sky for permission to soar. It rides the thermal currents because it was built for the wind. The machine is our current. It is time for humanity to fly.
