A Being Possibility declaration is the sentence at the center of your Life Plan — the precise, present-tense statement of who you are becoming. Not a goal. Not a wish. A declaration of the self you are already moving toward. It shapes everything QwaiAI coaches you toward over twelve months.

An excerpt · Vol. 1 · each book births a portfolio of proprietary IP
The machine does not dream. It models. The human does not model — she yearns. In the distance between those two verbs lives everything the machine cannot replace, and everything the human must therefore become.
We are at the threshold. What we do with ourselves now — what we author, declare, build — becomes the record the species leaves of having chosen itself.

Once you have written the first chapter of the book of your own life, you will understand something that no marketing can explain: leaving it unfinished is no longer an option you are willing to take.
22 September 2024 · New York City · Summit of the Future
Every civilisation authors its future. Now you can author yours.
On that September morning, 193 nations signed The Pact for the Future — a single document declaring what humanity collectively intends to become. No signatory stumbled in from the street. They deliberated. They declared. They committed. That act of deliberate declaration is the most powerful thing a civilisation can do. Qualped makes it available to you.

What makes the Simsbook a smart book
◈
Authored before it is lived
Unlike a memoir, the Simsbook is written in advance. You declare the chapter before you live it. The act of declaration creates the future.
◉
Intelligence woven in
QwaiAI knows your plan, your arc, your declared future. Every chapter it helps you write is informed by the full context of who you said you are becoming.
◎
Living, earning, growing
Published in the World Library. Earning royalties peer-to-peer. Updated with new editions each authored year. It does not sit on a shelf — it works.
◆
Four editions, one truth

The nations of the world signed their pact. The question now is whether you will sign yours.

The outcome
At the end of twelve months, you hold your life in your hands.
This is what Qualped is. Not another app. Not another subscription. A year of authoring — one chapter a month — that ends with a printed hardcover volume of the life you chose to write, instead of the one you were handed.
The book you write about your life, with an AI that knows you.
QwaiAI is the coach, mentor, and guide who walks the year with you. Simsbook is the volume that results. Twelve monthly chapters become one bound book — eBook, audiobook, softcover, and a hardcover shipped to your door, printed on archival stock with gold-foil lettering and a cloth spine. Every member ends the year as an author, with a volume on a shelf, and a volume earning quietly on the World Library.

The Simsbook · what it actually is
Not a journal. Not a memoir. The authored declaration of the future you are intentionally living into.
A Simsbook is forty chapters of aspirational future — written, declared, and globally published. Not what you hope might happen. The life you invented with your educated imagination, in full collaboration with an AI that knows you, then chose to live into on purpose.
Every Simsbook begins with a question that most humans never formally answer: who are you becoming? Not who you are. Who you are becoming. QwaiAI helps you brainstorm the answer with your full intelligence — your history, your instincts, your untested ideas — until you have invented a new possibility specific to you and no one else. That possibility becomes the architecture. The forty chapters are its rooms.
The Simsbook is not a goal-setting document. It is a declaration of authorship over your own life. You are not predicting the future. You are designing it, articulating it in specific language, publishing it so the world can hold you to it, and then living — chapter by chapter, month by month, year by year — inside the story you wrote. This is what every civilisation does with its constitutions, its manifestos, its founding documents. It is what almost no individual has ever done for their own life. Until now.
I
Authoring
Forty chapters written in the present tense of the future — "I am," not "I will." Structured across the full arc of a human life: identity, vocation, relationships, health, finance, creative work, legacy, and the designed future. Every chapter is yours to name, fill, and revise. QwaiAI challenges every assumption until what remains is true.
II
Declaring
A declaration is more than writing — it is a speech act. When you publish your Simsbook to the World Library, you have named your future out loud, in public, permanently. The naming changes something. The commitment that follows is different from every private intention you have ever had and never kept.
III
Global Platforming
Your Simsbook lives in the Qualped World Library — published, searchable, readable, and earning peer-to-peer QPED royalties. The reader who discovers your chapter on career reinvention, or your chapter on your grandmother, or your chapter on the country you are building toward — that reader is the next member. Your authored life becomes Qualped's most powerful distribution.

Chapters written: yours to fill, in your order, at your pace.
No two Simsbooks have the same forty chapters. That is the point.
Is this you?
Four kinds of authored human.
Qualped exists for aspirational humans who refuse to stumble into a default future. Four archetypes define our tribe — which one are you?
01
The Young Adult Originalist
Born into the machine age, you refuse its defaults. You think in first principles — you ask whose problem each existing institution was built to solve, and whose problem it fails to solve now. Qualped hands you the scaffolding to author your own answers from the ground up.
02
The Solution Visionary
You see problems others walk past. You sit with them until a solution emerges that nobody has tried before. You do not need permission to see what others cannot. Qualped gives you twelve months of AI-guided structure to turn vision into shipping product.
03
The Innovator
You improve every system you touch. A workflow, a tool, a business model — you instinctively ask: what if we did this differently? You make better versions of things that already exist. Qualped is where your improvements get recorded, packaged, and monetized as author assets of your own.
04
The Start-up Founder
You are building a company, or you will be soon. You need more than a tech stack — you need a life plan the company fits inside, a personal publication that builds your audience in advance, and a tribe of fellow founders who share the honest reality of this work. Qualped holds all three.
One decision connects them: the decision to stop inheriting and start authoring.
The manifesto · in three hundred words
Why stumble into the default future they designed for you? You author, create, and design the life you aspire to.
That is the whole bet, in eleven words. Machines now automate a growing share of the work a middle-class life used to require. Goldman Sachs places the global exposure at 300 million jobs. The International Monetary Fund projects 40% of all employment will be restructured. McKinsey reports that 57% of U.S. work hours can already be automated. Technology does not ask permission to redraw the contract. Someone will author your next ten years. The only remaining question is who.
We believe it should be you.
Qualped serves aspirational humans who choose to self-actualize and care for the tertiary concerns of life — the meanings, contributions, and callings that survive after food, shelter, and belonging are already handled. Not someday. Now.
Our method is a three-stage human-development process. A Personal Life Plan — twelve months of AI-guided declaration and practice, with QwaiAI as coach, mentor, guide. A Simsbook Smart Book — the living multimedia chronicle of who you are becoming, published in four editions. A Core Digital Community — masterminds, live streams, peer-to-peer QPED, the thousand true fans who make authored work a livelihood.
Plan. Book. Community. Three pillars. One authored human.
Membership is private. The Qualped Club is elite, exclusive, empowering, enlightening, edifying — and ten dollars a month. Seven days free. No platform cut on what you earn. Stripe, PayPal, or QPED — the author currency of your choice.
If you have read this far, you are already choosing. The next chapter — the one only you could author — begins with a ninety-second quiz.
What is the Qualped Life — for you?
It is the life you imagine — yours to author.
It is the possibility only you could create — yours to make.
It is the future only you can design — yours to build.
Declare your self-aspiration.Design your self-actualized life.Deploy your possible future.

Act One · The moment we're in
The default future writes itself — with or without you.
Three institutions. Three numbers. One truth:
300M
AI automation threatens 300 million jobs globally.
— Goldman Sachs
40%
AI will reshape 40% of all jobs worldwide. Sixty percent in advanced economies.
— International Monetary Fund
57%
Machines can now automate 57% of US work hours.
— McKinsey, November 2025
These numbers describe a world someone else authors. Algorithms author it. Boards of directors author it. The inertia of systems left over from a century ending authors it.
You can live in that authored world — or you can author your own.
Especially the young — whom the world tells will inherit a future someone else designs for them — have one real choice: take the stage.
The Qualped Life exists for the people who take the stage.
Declare your self-aspiration. Design your self-actualized life. Deploy your possible future.

"The person I am becoming..."
QwaiAI will mirror your declaration back to you, help you sharpen it, and hold you to it across twelve months. A Being Possibility declaration begins this way. An authored life begins this way.
Act Two · What we offer
Author your future. Create your possibility. Design your life.
Shaun founded Qualped Life Corporation in 2007, in Ontario, Canada — a media innovation company that builds the tools and the tribe for people who refuse inherited futures.
Three interrelated pillars — one authored life. Each verb maps to a product. Each product maps to a month of your becoming:
Pillar One · Life Plan
Author your future.
Powered by QwaiAI — the engine of your aspirational self. A twelve-month AI-guided journey that remembers your declaration, mirrors your becoming, and holds the life you mean to write.
Pillar Two · Smart Book
Create your possibility.
Your Simsbook — a simulated multimedia smartbook. The living chronicle of your learning, goals, and creations. Published, across four editions, into the Qualped World Library.
Pillar Three · Core Community
Design your life.
The Qualped Club — the private tribe you keep. Elite masterminds, live streams, peer-to-peer QPED, weekly workshops. The company of authored humans helping one another win.
One system. Three pillars. Twelve months that move every member from registration to authorship — of your future, your life, and your possibility.
Act Three · What the designed life stands on
Four pillars. One life.
Every Qualped member builds their designed life on four foundations. These are not aspirations; they are architecture.
I
Wealth
Real wealth never shows up in paper or bank statements. It lives inside you. Your intellectual property. Your smarts. Your cultivated human capital.
The designed life names wealth first because everything that follows depends on knowing where your real wealth actually lives.
II
Wisdom
Without wisdom, nothing works. The designed life refuses hustle and optimization — critical thinking as a daily practice builds it instead.
Members cultivate wisdom through reading, writing, conversation, reflection, and the slow work of knowing the world deeply.
III
Worthiness
Worthiness is your social value — the ethics you hold, the morals you embody, the behaviour you model in every relationship, community, and space you inhabit.
A Qualped member understands that worth is not conferred by institutions or net worth statements. It is demonstrated through integrity of character, quality of contribution, and consistency of conduct. How you treat others. How you keep your word. How you show up — authored, intentional, and whole.
IV
Wellness
The foundation of this life stays healthy. Wellness describes a mindset, not a metric — a living relationship with body, breath, mind, and spirit.
No designed life survives neglect of the wellness that carries it. Members practice wellness as seriously as they practice their craft.
Together
Wealth · Wisdom · Worthiness · Wellness. You design the life that stands on all four. You inherit nothing.
A proprietary framework
The Qualped Method™

In Coach mode, QwaiAI holds you to what stays possible — not what already seems likely. You declare your Being Possibility: the person you are becoming, the future you choose to author.
From inside that declaration, you build your Life Plan — the daily blueprint that carries you there. You map your aspirational self — the person your current self intends to become. You identify your tertiary concerns — the higher-order meanings no amount of basic security will ever satisfy: legacy, contribution, beauty, truth, belonging beyond survival.
By month four, you have written Chapter One of your Simsbook. The first three thousand words of your authored life.

With QPED, your readers pay you directly. Your community supports your work peer-to-peer. Payments flow frictionlessly across 47 countries — no FX, no intermediaries, no leakage in the pipes between creator and audience.

The Qualped Club is your digital core community. Not followers. Not an audience. A small, devoted group of readers who have chosen to fund the future you are authoring — by buying your books, attending your masterminds, booking your consultations, and keeping you going.

Life of the Month · curated by the editorial board
The Ottawa Doctrine
Marc Lavoie · Ottawa, Canada · Autumn Cohort 2025
"Lavoie's Ottawa Doctrine is the rarest kind of Simsbook — the kind that reads as though it was never written, only lived. His declaration in Chapter One becomes, by Chapter Nine, something he has visibly earned. The chapter on his father is the finest piece of authored memory in the library this season. Read it before your own Chapter Five."
— Editorial Board · Qualped World Library
The World Library is not a repository. It is a destination — curated monthly by an editorial board of authors, readers, and critics. The Editor's Collection names the season's finest authored lives. Readers discover books they did not know they needed. Authors become known beyond their cohort. Every reader who enters the Library is one book away from becoming a member.
What using Qualped looks like
The editor. The coach. The club that cannot be copied.
Three surfaces. One authored life. The Simsbook editor is where the forty chapters are written. QwaiAI is the intelligence that refuses to let you stay comfortable. The Qualped Life Club is where the cohort lives — a private, tiered, graduating community that no platform can replicate, because it is built from people who have actually done the work.

Chapter 12 · Domain III · Vocation & Career
The Designed Career
In the year 2029, I am the founder and creative director of an editorial house that publishes life narratives from the Caribbean diaspora. The imprint — which I am naming now so that the name makes me accountable to it — is called Greenheart Press. Its first season publishes five authors, all of whom began their books inside a Simsbook. Its founding principle is simple: a story that was not supposed to be told is the most important story there is.
I work from a room that looks like a library — shelves on every wall, morning light, no meetings before ten. My grandfather left Guyana with forty dollars and a belief that someone like him could own something in a country like this. He was right. I am the proof.

Act Six · What we believe
On self-actualization, the aspirational self, and tertiary concerns.
Abraham Maslow named the top of his pyramid "self-actualization" — and Peter Drucker introduced the world to what it looks like in practice — the drive to become what one can become. For half a century, the world treated the self-actualized human as an outlier. A luxury. A rarity.
The Qualped thesis holds simpler and more demanding: self-actualization is not optional. Not now. Not in an age when machines automate the lower tiers of the pyramid, and the only remaining question — what you do with yourself once the baseline takes care of itself, what you aspire to, what you author, what you care about beyond your immediate well-being — becomes the whole of your life.
We call these tertiary concerns — not tertiary in the sense of less important, but in the sense of beyond. Beyond food and shelter. Beyond belonging. Into the territory of contribution, of legacy, of beauty and truth and justice. Into the territory of the life you would author if the shape of your life were yours to choose.
Our members are the people who have decided to live their aspirational selves. Not someday. Now. Through daily practice. Through twelve-month arcs. Through a simsbook that says: this is who I am becoming, and this is how I am building the life that contains that becoming.
·
Our human development philosophy
We believe self-actualization is not a single event. It unfolds as a disciplined, reinforcing process — three interlocking stages of human development. Each stage produces the next. No stage works alone.
I.
Personal Life Plan
The foundation. A twelve-month architecture for the life you mean to live. You declare your being-possibility. You map your tertiary concerns. You identify what only you could author. QwaiAI holds the plan and walks beside you, month by month, as coach, mentor, and guide.
↓
II.
Simsbook Smart Book
The expression. The Personal Life Plan produces its natural artifact — a living, multimedia simulated smartbook. Written, recorded, illustrated, and annotated. Published in four editions. The portable record of who you are becoming — and the source material from which your Author Assets will eventually grow.
↓
III.
Core Digital Community
The multiplication. A simsbook without witnesses is a diary. With a Core Digital Community, it becomes a livelihood. The Qualped Club — masterminds, live streams, peer-to-peer QPED, your first thousand true fans. The tribe that receives your work, supports it, sharpens it, and carries it forward.
Plan → Book → Community. This is the process we believe in. This is how a human authors, creates, and designs a life — not as three separate products but as one continuous human-development architecture. Every Qualped member moves through all three. Every Qualped tool serves one or more of these stages.
·
The real assets of the designed life
Real assets in the Qualped model are not financial instruments. They are:
i.
Human Capital
The talents, skills, abilities, training, and wisdom you accumulate over a lifetime.
ii.
Knowledge Assets
The deep understanding you have of your field, your craft, and your world.
iii.
Intellectual Property
The authored outputs of your unique perspective — what only you could have made.
These are what you build. What you monetize. What you leave.
·
Intellectual lineage
Qualped does not arrive from nowhere. Six thinkers in particular shaped the foundation on which this platform stands:
1943
A Theory of Human Motivation
Abraham Maslow · Psychological Review
Maslow proposed the Hierarchy of Needs — a pyramid that begins with food, water, and safety and rises through belonging, esteem, and arrives, at its summit, at self-actualization: the human drive to become everything one is capable of becoming. Maslow named the territory in which Qualped operates. The Qualped Life is the sustained, deliberate practice of self-actualization at the apex of the pyramid — for the rare soul who has decided not to live below their own ceiling.
1945
As We May Think
Vannevar Bush · The Atlantic
Bush imagined the Memex — a desk-sized device that would hold every book, letter, and record you touched. Association trails linked them together. A prosthetic for human memory. The conceptual ancestor of the simsbook.
1962
Augmenting Human Intellect
Doug Engelbart · SRI International
Engelbart extended Bush's vision: computers as partners in thinking, not tools for performing. The framework that makes QwaiAI possible. Not AI that replaces you — AI that augments what only you can do.
1954
The Practice of Management
Peter Drucker · Pomona College
Peter Drucker first introduced the world to the systematic idea of self-management through his close study of churches, voluntary organizations, and civic life in America. He observed that people who flourished gave of themselves freely — not for money, but for meaning. He named this drive: the need to contribute, to be known by one's work, to build something that outlasts the self. Qualped is Drucker's insight at personal scale: manage yourself first, and design the contribution only you can make.
1963
The Educated Imagination
Northrop Frye · Massey Lectures, CBC
Canadian literary critic Northrop Frye gave Shaun Samaroo the concept he needed most. In his Massey Lectures, Frye argued that beyond primary concerns (survival, food, shelter) and secondary concerns (social values, laws, ideology) lies a realm of tertiary concerns — the mythic, the literary, the imaginative. The life of the mind beyond necessity. This is where Qualped lives. The Qualped member is a person who has decided to dwell, deliberately, in the territory of tertiary concerns.
1971
Project Gutenberg · the eBook is invented
Michael Hart · University of Illinois
In 1971, Michael Hart typed the Declaration of Independence into a mainframe computer at the University of Illinois and sent it to users on ARPANET — inventing the eBook. He called it Project Gutenberg. Hart believed that the text of every book ever written should be available to every human being on earth, for free, forever. Shaun Samaroo follows in Hart's tradition: the Simsbook Smart Book is a reinvention of the eBook — for a generation that does not merely want to read books but to live one. The book remains, as Hart knew, the smartest device Man ever invented.
Qualped inherits all six lines. Your Simsbook gives Bush's Memex flesh at last. QwaiAI wakes Engelbart's intelligence augmentation. Drucker's self-management becomes a twelve-month Life Plan. Frye's tertiary concerns become the reason the plan exists. And Hart's eBook — the smartest device Man ever invented — becomes, in Qualped's hands, a living chronicle of a designed life.
·
The (CM)³ business model
The Qualped economy runs on a three-multiplier model — the mathematics of authored livelihood:
(
CM¹Cooperative MoneyMembers funding members. QPED. Peer-to-peer royalties. The new author economy.
×
CM²Community MediaFuture Stars Media. Live streams. Podcasts. World Headlines. Millionaire Mindset.
×
CM³Creative MessageYour authored voice. Your simsbook. Your author assets. Your message to the world.
)³
Three multipliers. One durable author economy. This is what the Qualped Life cultivates over twelve months.
The research · the willingness to be measured
We will measure what actually changes. And publish what we find.
The coaching and self-help industry has a credibility problem. Qualped separates itself through one act: rigorous, peer-reviewed, longitudinal research — tracking member outcomes at one, three, and five years post-graduation. Published regardless of what the data shows.
Every claim Qualped makes about the authored life — that it increases income, clarity, fulfilment, creative output, and relationships — will either be proven or challenged by the data. We believe it will be proven. But the willingness to publish the results even if it isn't is itself the signal that we are in a different category from every other platform making similar claims.
In partnership with an accredited university, the Qualped Longitudinal Study follows each cohort's members at three fixed intervals. The full methodology is open. The raw datasets (anonymised) will be publicly available. The findings will be submitted to peer-reviewed journals.
Year 1
Completion + immediate outcomes
Did you finish? Did you publish? Did the declaration hold? Income, creative output, and wellbeing baselines established at graduation.
Year 3
Durability of the designed life
Are members living differently three years on? Income trajectories, creative careers, relationship quality, sense of authorship — tracked against control cohorts.
Year 5
Long-form life authorship evidence
The definitive dataset. Are Qualped graduates substantially different, in measurable ways, from equally ambitious people who never authored their year? This is the question the study answers.
The Qualped Longitudinal Study
Measuring the authored life — five years of evidence.
University partnership in active development. Target institutions include Tyndale University (Toronto), Toronto Metropolitan University, and the University of the West Indies — with preference for institutions with historical resonance to the communities Qualped serves.

The corpus · the real moat
A library of authored lives that could not exist before.
Every generation of AI becomes a commodity in eighteen months. Every coaching app is cloned in twelve. What cannot be copied is a consented, ethically-governed archive of deliberately authored human lives. That is what Qualped is building — and what every authoring year places, one volume at a time, on the shelf of civilization.
Our five principles for the corpus.
01Consent precedes everything. Every authored page enters the corpus only with its author's explicit, revocable, written permission — per edition, per channel, per decade.
02Your name, your terms. You publish under your legal name, a pen name, or not at all. You keep the copyright. Qualped holds a non-exclusive license to the editions you choose to place with us.
03Never training fodder. Your words are not used to train public AI models. QwaiAI is instructed on the Method — not on your manuscripts.
04The archive outlives the company. Qualped commits to a public-benefit escrow: if the company ever dissolves, the corpus passes to a non-profit steward chosen by members. The library does not die when the business does.
05Your volume, your royalty. Every sale of your work earns you — peer-to-peer — in QPED, USD, CAD, or your local currency. Qualped keeps zero percent on member-to-member purchases.
Twenty-five thousand dollars. One winner. Annually. Awarded to the most significant Simsbook of the year — judged by a panel of writers, philosophers, and public intellectuals. The prize that transforms a platform into a cultural institution.

The winner receives $25,000 cash, a special leather-bound numbered edition printed in a run of 500, and permanent placement as the inaugural laureate of the Qualped Prize. The ceremony is held annually at the cohort graduation — the same day the boxes arrive.

Interlude · Voices from the club
What members say.
The Qualped Life is private. Members author real simsbooks in real cities on real Tuesday mornings. These composite portraits — drawn from conversations with the early membership, with names and identifying details adjusted for privacy — speak to the shape of the twelve-month journey:
I'm twenty-three. I was pre-med. My professor told me AI would do the reading and the writing soon — and not kindly. For six months I sat with that. Then I joined Qualped. My simsbook is about the kind of doctor the machines can't be. I ship a chapter every two weeks. My mother still doesn't understand what I'm building. That's okay.
Aisha O.Lagos, Nigeria · Month 7
I spent fifteen years in a product role at a global consulting firm. I'd written nothing longer than a slide deck in a decade. QwaiAI asked me, in month two: what is the book no one else could write? I did not have an answer for a week. That week changed my life. I am on chapter six now. I still work full-time. I will work full-time one year less because of this.
Priya I.Bengaluru, India · Month 9
My parents brought me from Port-au-Prince when I was seven. I have been writing between three languages my whole life — Creole at home, French at school, English for work. Qualped is the first platform that let me keep all three in one document. My simsbook has a chapter in each. None of my readers want to lose any of them.
Marc L.Ottawa, Canada · Month 5
I'm a second-year student. I joined because I was terrified of graduating into whatever labor market survives three more years. Writing my simsbook has already earned me my first two paid speaking engagements and a column in a local magazine. I'm nineteen. I still can't quite believe I get to tell my classmates that what I am doing for the summer is "writing a book."
Camila V.Santiago, Chile · Month 4
I retired from law at sixty-three and spent eighteen months trying to write a memoir I'd been carrying for forty years. It wasn't working. The twelve-month Qualped structure gave me the scaffolding the memoir needed. Chapter five is the one my children will read. Chapter nine is the one I needed to write for myself. I'm publishing the hardcover next month.
Eleanor M.Melbourne, Australia · Month 11
In my congregation we talk about calling. What I could not explain to anyone was that I also felt called to write — not sermons, not devotionals, something harder to name. QwaiAI helped me name it. My simsbook is the conversation I have been having with God for thirty years, finally written down. My husband reads each chapter out loud to me at night. He asks me questions I have not thought of yet.

For organisations · the institutional partner
The most ambitious people in your organisation deserve this.
Corporations, universities, and institutions invest in talent. But almost none of them ask the question that retains the best people and builds the deepest loyalty: who is this person becoming, and are we helping them get there? Qualped asks that question — and answers it over twelve months.
An institutional partnership places the full Qualped Year — the Method, QwaiAI, the Simsbook, the cohort, the printed volume — in the hands of the people your organisation most wants to keep. Each participant authors their next five years. Each one ends the year with a hardcover book, a plan, and a community of fellow authored humans.
No HR program on earth offers this. And no participant who finishes the Qualped Year, holds their hardcover, and returns to their team a published author — forgets where they got it.
🏛
Universities & colleges
Offer the Qualped Year to graduate students, faculty, and alumni. The capstone thesis reimagined — a Simsbook instead of a paper, a designed life instead of a credential.
⬡
Corporations & enterprises
Select your most ambitious people. Invest in their authored year. Retain the talent that would otherwise leave. The ROI is not a number — it is a person who stays.
◈
NGOs, churches & civic institutions
The Qualped Method was built for every human, regardless of income tier. Subsidised or sponsored seats are available for mission-driven institutions that believe in the potential of their community.
The institutional pitch

The Qualped Foundation. The non-profit arm of a planetary mission.
A for-profit company and a foundation sharing a mission, each making the other stronger. The Foundation opens grant funding from arts councils, UNESCO, literacy foundations, and private philanthropists — and ensures that the authored life is not a luxury available only to those who can afford a membership fee.
The most enduring cultural platforms run a dual-structure: a for-profit company that sustains and innovates, and a non-profit foundation that opens doors no company can walk through alone. The Wikimedia Foundation. The Mozilla Foundation. The Criterion Collection's curatorial arm.
The Qualped Foundation, registered in Canada as a public-benefit entity, does three things the company cannot: it accesses grant funding from institutions that will not write cheques to corporations; it offers fully-funded memberships in communities where the full fee is not accessible; and it makes the press story about Qualped dramatically more interesting than any company pitch.
◎
Grant access
The Foundation is eligible for grants from Canada Council for the Arts, Ontario Arts Council, UNESCO, Luminate, and private philanthropists who cannot fund a for-profit but absolutely can fund "expanding life authorship to the Global South."
◈
Subsidised seats
Fully-funded memberships for communities in Guyana, Nigeria, Ghana, Philippines, Jamaica, and other markets where the full membership fee is inaccessible. The Foundation pays the seat cost. The Method, QwaiAI, and the printed volume are identical to every other member's.
◆
The story changes
Not "Canadian SaaS company offers life coaching." But: "Foundation-backed platform is helping people in Lagos and Georgetown write the books of their lives." That sentence opens every door the former closes.
The Qualped Foundation · in formation
For every human who cannot pay the full fee.
The authored life is not a luxury. The Foundation ensures it never becomes one. Every cohort includes a quota of Foundation-sponsored seats — full membership, full method, full printed volume — available to members in qualifying communities.
One sentence: "We will help any human on Earth write the book of their life, regardless of their income." The Foundation makes that sentence true.

Nightmares of Knowledge is Shaun's epic novel-in-progress — a dark literary work of such scale that conventional publishing has no frame for it. One million words. Ten volumes. A single, unified arc that will take the better part of a decade to complete.
It is the kind of project that defines a writing life — the one that exists alongside everything else, that demands ten thousand hours and refuses to be rushed, that will outlast every platform, every trend, and every quarterly report ever written about the creator economy.
The work is being authored through the Qualped Method with QwaiAI as collaborator — the same method available to every member. What you see on the shelf above is the vision. What is being written right now is the proof.

Become a certified coach · the Method in your hands
License the Method. Run your own cohort.
The Qualped Method can be licensed to certified practitioners. A certified Qualped Coach can run local cohorts in their city, their company, their church, or their school — using the same twelve-chapter arc, the same QwaiAI tools, the same Simsbook outcome. You build the local reach. Qualped provides the curriculum, the certification, and the brand.
Every durable education brand runs on a franchise model: Kumon, RE/MAX, Dale Carnegie, Landmark. They built the system; practitioners built the reach. Qualped follows the same logic — with one crucial difference. Every cohort you run produces real hardcover books. The proof of your coaching is a shelf of volumes. No certification course produces anything like it.
Associate Coach
Certified Qualped Associate
Run co-facilitated cohorts with a Senior Coach. Learn the Method in practice. Requires completion of your own Qualped Year and a 6-week certification intensive.
Licensing fee · $2,400/yr · cohorts up to 25 members · 8% royalty to Qualped
Senior Coach
Certified Qualped Senior
Run independent cohorts. Train and supervise Associates. Requires two completed cohort years and a full certification review by Shaun's team.
Licensing fee · $4,800/yr · cohorts up to 100 members · 6% royalty to Qualped
Master Coach
Qualped Master Coach
Run institutional cohorts. License to corporations and universities. The highest certification. Fewer than 24 globally at any time — by design.
Complete your own Qualped Year. You cannot coach what you have not lived. Your authored year is the first requirement for every certification level.
02
Apply for certification. Submit your Simsbook, your twelve-month arc, and a letter of intent. Reviewed by Shaun personally for Senior and Master levels.
03
Complete the certification intensive. Six weeks of deep Method training — online, cohort-format, with certified faculty. The curriculum is the Method itself.
04
Open your cohort. Use the Qualped platform, branding, and QwaiAI tools under your certified license. Market your cohort in your city, company, or community.
05
Print your cohort's books. At year-end, your members hold their volumes. Your name is in every one as their certified coach. That shelf is your portfolio.

In three years, a hundred platforms will claim this. Only we will have the footage.
The first humans to formally author their lives with an AI. The first cohort. The first boxes arriving. The first books on the first shelves. We are filming everything — not for marketing, but for the documentary that gets submitted to TIFF and Hot Docs in 2027.

The Social Network made Facebook a cultural phenomenon it never quite was before the film. A serious documentary — made with craft, distance, and honesty — about the first humans to formally author their lives with an AI is the piece of media that lands Qualped in a conversation no advertising budget can access.
We are filming the founders. The first cohort members. The writing sessions. The QwaiAI conversations. The chapters being drafted. The boxes arriving. The faces of people holding the first book ever written about their own life. The footage being captured today is the raw material for the film submitted to TIFF in 2027.
Members who want to be part of the record — who want their authored year filmed as part of the documentary — can indicate interest. Some stories will be selected. All footage, of all members, is owned by the member.

Shaun Michael SamarooFounder · Oshawa, Ontario
Shaun Michael Samaroo is a Canadian journalist, author, and digital visionary whose work synthesizes investigative reporting, political historiography, and speculative futurism. His career is defined in a commitment to documenting geopolitical futurism and pioneering new media formats that redefine the relationship between authorship and human capital.
Major Literary Works
Nightmares of Knowledge
A ten-volume, million-word odyssey exploring humanity's transition to the technology age. Spanning decades of development, the series — including volumes like Secrets of the Singularity Panopticon — seeks to "decode the dystopia reality of our utopia dream."
Greenheart and Crude: Four Presidents In Designing the Guyana Dream
A structural metaphor for contemporary Guyanese history. Samaroo frames four successive presidencies as movements in a single musical composition, identifying former President Donald Ramotar as the "moral spine" of the nation's design sequence.
Through Qualped Corp, Samaroo has developed the simsbook (simple multimedia smartbook) — a dynamic life blueprint designed to transform human capital into digital assets. He views his life's work as the creation of an integrated ecosystem including AI coaching, digital archives, and the QPED cryptocoin — one that empowers individuals to author, create, and design their future selves.
Shaun's philosophy: Personal quality of life design happens in the flow of a lifestyle that focuses on working a Personal Life Plan, a Simsbook Smart Book, and a Digital Core Community. These three are not separate products — they are the rhythm of an authored life, practiced daily, compounded over twelve months, and sustained through the company of fellow authors who share the same commitment to their own becoming.
Shaun invites you to join him.

Hello. I'm Shaun Samaroo, founder of the Qualped Life. I founded Qualped in 2007, in Ontario, Canada, because I believed something that still feels radical to say out loud: the most important work a human can do is to author the life they mean to live.
Not inherit a career. Not follow an algorithm. Not stumble into whatever the default future happens to offer you. Author. Create. Design. The future you.
Over the next twelve months, with QwaiAI as your coach, mentor, and guide, I'd like to help you write the chapter of your life that only you can write.

Qualped is a word coined by Shaun Michael Samaroo. It derives from Quality of Life Personal Designer — a philosophy of deliberate, self-directed human development through the three pillars of a Personal Life Plan, a Simsbook Smart Book, and a Core Digital Community.
The Qualped Life Corporation was founded in Toronto, Canada, in 2007, in honour of Shaun's son, Israel Prince Samaroo, and is dedicated to his daughter, Kyndester Isabella Michael-Samaroo.

Our privacy practices comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. What information we collect
Account information: When you create a Qualped membership, we collect your name, email address, and a hashed password. We do not store plaintext passwords.
Payment information: Payments are processed by Stripe or PayPal. We do not store your card number, CVV, or bank details. We receive a customer identifier and subscription status from the payment processor.
Simsbook content: The text, audio, and media you create in your simsbook is stored in your Qualped account. It is private to you unless you choose to publish it to the Qualped World Library.
QwaiAI conversations: Conversations with QwaiAI are stored in your account to provide continuity of coaching. They are not shared with third parties, not used to train AI models without your explicit consent, and not accessed by Qualped staff except to resolve a technical support request you initiate.
Usage data: We collect basic analytics — pages visited, features used, session duration — to improve the platform. This data is aggregated and not tied to your identity beyond your account.
Cookie data: We use essential session cookies to keep you signed in. If you consent, we use analytics cookies (via Cloudflare Analytics, which is privacy-respecting and does not use advertising IDs) to understand how visitors use the site. 4. Who we share it with
We share your data only with service providers necessary to operate the platform: Stripe and PayPal (payment processing); Bubble.io (application backend, hosted on AWS); Cloudflare (content delivery and DNS); Anthropic or equivalent AI provider (to power QwaiAI responses — your messages are sent to generate responses and are subject to the provider's data processing agreement, but are not used to train public models). All providers are bound by data processing agreements consistent with PIPEDA and GDPR.
5. Your rights
Under PIPEDA, you have the right to: access the personal information we hold about you; correct inaccurate information; withdraw consent to non-essential data collection (this will not affect your membership); request deletion of your account and personal data. Under GDPR (if applicable to you), you additionally have the right to data portability and to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@qualped.com or qualped@qualped.com. We will respond within 30 days.

We retain your account data for as long as your membership is active. If you cancel, we retain your data for 90 days in case you wish to reactivate, then delete it. Simsbook content you have published to the World Library may remain in the library (without identifying information) unless you request its removal.
7. Security
We use industry-standard security measures: TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest, access controls limiting staff access to personal data, and regular security reviews. No internet transmission is 100% secure. If we become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you within 72 hours as required by law.
8. Children
Qualped Life is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

The country that raised me had a river running through it the color of strong black tea. The Demerara, named for nothing I could ever pronounce correctly as a child, wide enough at Georgetown that the far bank looked like a story someone had told me rather than a place where people lived their actual lives. I grew up believing the river was the edge of the world. My grandmother knew better, and said so, often, but she let me keep the belief because she said children needed a world whose edges they could see.
Her name was Clarissa and she had opinions about everything. The color of the kitchen curtains. The timing of the rains. The difference between a coconut that would give you good water and one that would only give you disappointment. She had opinions about me — what I would do, who I would become, which of my brothers was the softest and which was the most like our father, who had left for Canada before I was old enough to carry the shape of his face in my head.
Greenheart is a wood. Chloroxylon swietenia, if you want the Latin, though Latin does nothing to prepare you for what greenheart actually is. It is the hardest wood Guyana grows. You can build a wharf out of it that will stand in salt water for a hundred years and still hold a man's weight when he walks across it with a sack of rice on his shoulder. The British took it. Took most of it, really, shipped across the Atlantic to build the locks of canals and the pilings of docks and the ribs of ships in yards whose workers could not, themselves, have named the forest the wood came from.
Crude is oil. Crude was, until quite recently, not our problem. We had greenheart. We had sugar. We had rice and rum and rain that would drown a man standing still, but we did not have oil, and for most of the twentieth century this felt like a kind of moral advantage — the quiet pride of a country too small and too careful to have been caught up in the darker bargains the century made with fossil fuel.
Then, in 2015, ExxonMobil's seismic survey off our coast struck the Liza field, and by the time this book is printed Guyana will be producing more oil per capita than any country on earth that is not a Gulf monarchy. My grandmother did not live to see it. She died in 2012, in her kitchen, at the age of eighty-three, with opinions about the rains and the coconuts still intact. I think about what she would have said almost every day.
I left Guyana when I was nineteen, under circumstances my grandmother would have called necessary, but not right. I arrived in Toronto in the February of 1989 — my first winter, the cold a physical blow that felt like punishment for something I had not yet done. I spent the first decade trying to become Canadian without losing Guyanese. The second decade I abandoned the project and tried to become something new. The third decade I understood my grandmother had been right all along. You do not become something new. You become more fully whoever you already were, only now with more countries in your voice.
I found journalism because journalism was the only work that paid me to keep asking the questions I had been asking since I was seven. Why does the river look like tea? What is greenheart for? Who decides which wood a country ships and which it builds with? I founded a national newspaper in Georgetown in 1996. I started two community papers in Ontario in the early 2000s. I interviewed people. I asked them about their countries. I asked them what they thought they were building, and for whom. In 2007 I started Qualped, because it had become unbearable to keep asking those questions on behalf of other people without asking them, with the same rigor, on behalf of myself.
This book is about a country that is becoming something it never was, about a boy who left it and became someone it did not raise him to be, and about the slow slow question that has followed me across every continent I've lived on since: who decides what a place is for? Who authors its next chapter? And what happens to the people who belong to it in the deep unspoken way a child belongs to a river whose far bank is a story?
I am writing this in Oshawa, Ontario, in the winter of my fifty-fourth year, with the furnace making its slow decisions and the snow doing what snow has always done. I have written four books before this one. This is the one I've been writing my whole life.
